Pre-care instructions for Eyeliner

In order for your new eyeliner to heal properly (and look their best) these Pre & Post Care Instructions found below are of the UTMOST IMPORTANCE! Pre-Care instructions are designed to limit bleeding and skin sensitivities during the service. Excessing bleeding during the procedure will dilute the pigment color and lead to poor results!

Attention Please: We strongly advise prospective new clients to book their appointments at least 3-4 months in advance of Vacations, Weddings, and Special Occasions. This allows adequate time for healing and time to receive touch ups. Some New Clients may require multiple sessions ( at an additional cost) to achieve their desired density and shape. To achieve the best results, it is essential that you understand and follow the pre-care instructions. This process can take up to 4 weeks.

4 Weeks Prior

Botox & Fillers must be done at least 4 weeks prior to your procedure.

Discontinue the use of any Anti-aging products such as: Glycolics, Retin-A, Retinol, Vitamin A, Chemical and Laser Peels, Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA), any chemical exfoliant or "brightening" skincare and any products that contain any Hylauronic Acid 4 weeks prior to your appointment. The use of any of these products less than 4 weeks prior to your service may cause poor retention and results!

No Anti-aging and/or Anti-acne products

No Surgery of any kind.

Discontinue the use of any lash growth serums and stimulants for a minimum of 4 weeks prior to your procedure.

We will not be able to tattoo over any growths, sores, and moles in or around the eye area

1-2 Weeks Prior

Remove eyelash extensions minimum 1 week prior to eyeliner procedure.

Avoid sun and tanning bed 1-2 weeks prior to appointment.

Avoid Fish Oil, Prenatal Vitamins, Nutritional Shakes (Shakeology, etc), "Hair, Skin, Nail" supplements 2 weeks prior to procedure.

48-72 Hours Prior

Do not work out 48 hours prior to your procedure. Increased circulation may cause bleeding during your procedure, diluting the pigment, and leaving you with poor healed results.

Avoid smoking any substances for 48 hours prior to your appointment.

Aftercare instructions for Eyeliner

After care treatment makes up 50% of the total treatment success. Please meticulously adhere to the given advice because if not, you can risk losing up to 80% of the pigment in your new eyeliner.

Wear Sunglasses on your drive home

Keep the treated area dry for 3 days

Do not pick, rub or peel off your scabs, to avoid bald spots, scars, or infection.

Keep your hair away from your face.

No makeup on the treated area for 7 days

Throw out your current mascara and purchase a new one to prevent infection

Avoid sleeping on your face, use a fresh pillowcase.

Avoid steam, swimming, sauna, hot tubs for the first 10 days.

Avoid sweating excessively for 10 days

Avoid excessive rinsing and hot water on the treated area.

Do not wear contact lenses at least 24 hours.

Do not dye, perm, or use an eyelash curler for 2 weeks.

Eyes will be puffy and swollen for a few days. Eyes may feel dry or irritated. You may use saline

No eyelashes serums or growth stimulation, those products might cause pigment migration.

Refrain from eyelash extensions for a minimum of 2 weeks post your eyeliner procedure

Avoid Retin-A, Glycolic Acids, and Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) near eyes to prevent premature fading.

Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for a minimum of 4 weeks after your procedure. Direct sunlight can cause the pigment to change color while it is healing and can also cause hyperpigmentation and scarring.

Expect moderate swelling, usually one to three days following the eyeliner procedure. While healing, the eyeliner tattoo will look spotty. This is due to healing skin regeneration. Healed eyeliner will fade up to 50%. Multiple sessions may be required to achieve the desired results.

The above Pre and Post-Care for eyeliner will affect how quickly or slowly you heal. Mature age, poor diet, stress, smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, age, general health, sleep/fatigue. The more fatigued you are, the lower your immune system is, and infection is more likely to occur. Please get plenty of rest and drink lots of water to hydrate prior to the procedure.
